Three new staff plus a young apprentice have joined the team at Oldbury-based Stewart Miller & Peter James Insurance, as the company expands its workforce to meet high levels of customer demand.

Priti Modi (back-left) has been welcomed to the team as Commercial Account Handler, working across the breadth of new and existing clients. With previous roles within Arthur J Gallagher & Co. and Lorica, Priti brings with her a wealth of knowledge dealing with commercial lines, bancassurance and affinity placement.

With a background of managing a number of insurance broker high street offices, Neil Percival (back-right) has joined the team as Account Executive, bringing with him 30 years' insurance experience. Neil's most recent role was Account Executive at Ellerton Knight, specialising in corporate, commercial and personal insurance, and will use this expertise in his new role to generate new leads and grow the existing client book.

Tom Russon (front-left) is the latest addition to the 'front of house' team, taking on the role of Customer Service Advisor within the specialist vehicle market. With seven year's insurance knowledge and a growing passion for early 1950s Cadillacs and Pontiacs, Tom will use his extensive experience and sector enthusiasm to work across the new and existing client portfolio.

Sixteen-year-old Georgia Manders (front-right) is the latest recruit to join the company's long-standing apprenticeship scheme. Georgia, who attends Halesowen College, will work to complete a Business Admin Level 3 qualification and follows in the footsteps of three apprentices before her, who have joined the scheme, to achieve their qualifications with flying colours.

Company Director, Peter James, said the company, launched in its current Black Country location back in 1979, had seen rapid growth in recent years, becoming one of the UK's fastest-growing insurance brokers. "Expanding our team is essential if we are to meet the extremely high levels of customer demand that we are currently facing and are delighted to welcome Priti, Neil and Tom to the team, not to mention our latest apprentice, Georgia," he explained. "With their combined wealth of experience and knowledge, we are sure that they will be instrumental in maximising the opportunities from our existing portfolio as well as generating new business to further develop our policy book."

The company is currently looking for one more apprentice, focusing on the specialist vehicle market, to join its growing team and is looking for school leavers who are seeking to gain experience and knowledge of the industry within a friendly and professional team. It is also looking to employ Customer Service Advisors with specific experience in Specialist Vehicle Insurance. Anyone interested in these roles can send an email to
